As Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading electrical works across our HVAC service and installation operations. You will work closely with technicians, customers, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes while identifying opportunities to expand our service offering and generate new business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical works for HVAC service, maintenance, and installation projects.
  • Assist with the commissioning and installation of HVAC systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and control faults within HVAC and Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to field technicians.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality assurance checks, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Assist with the commissioning and installation of HVAC systems.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for additional service, maintenance, and project work.
  • Prepare quotations and assist with project planning when required.
  • Support the growth and development of the electrical division

Skills & Experience :

  • NZ Registered Electrician with current EWRB practising licence.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong Building Management Systems (BMS) diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to diagnose faults across HVAC, lighting control, and building automation systems.
  • Experience working with control systems, sensors, actuators, and VSDs.
  • Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or other building automation communication protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic fault-finding approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise professionally with customers and facility managers.
  • High standard of workmanship and commitment to electrical safety and compliance.
  • Full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours callout and support roster (if required).
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Experience supervising apprentices or mentoring junior electricians would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of energy management and building optimisation systems preferred.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with emerging building technologies.
