Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial,800 West Randol Mill Rd. Arlington, TX 76012

Work hours: Full-time, Day Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:45 am - 7:15 pm

NICU Department highlights:

• Level III NICU Unit where our team is like a family with a strong participation in our UBC, great relationship with our physicians and advancement opportunities
• Self-scheduling
• Our department includes 22 beds in the level III NICU
• Average of 100 deliveries a month

Here's What You Need

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days
• 1 year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• At least 1 year of NICU experience preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
