Job Description:
Precision Private Security is hiring professional, dependable, and service-oriented Security Officers for medical facility assignments in the Corning and Red Bluff area.
This is a high-visibility, public-facing security position in a healthcare environment. Officers assigned to this post will help maintain a safe, calm, and professional environment for patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and authorized personnel.
This position requires strong communication, patience, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Officers must be able to stand for long periods of time, conduct walking patrols, respond to incidents, observe and report concerns, and represent Precision Private Security with professionalism at all times.
This is not a passive post. We are looking for officers who are alert, approachable, respectful, and able to handle sensitive situations with good judgment.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Maintain a visible and professional security presence inside and outside the medical facility.
•Conduct standing post duties and roving patrols as assigned.
•Patrol lobbies, entrances, hallways, parking areas, exterior areas, waiting areas, and other assigned locations.
•Assist with access control for patients, visitors, staff, vendors, and authorized personnel.
•Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, safety hazards, property damage, unauthorized access, and policy violations.
•Respond professionally to emergency and non-emergency situations.
•Assist staff with security-related concerns when appropriate.
•Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, facility staff, law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel when needed.
•Use verbal de-escalation and professional communication to help calm difficult or emotional situations.
•Provide clear directions and assistance to visitors while maintaining site security expectations.
•Complete accurate Daily Activity Reports, Incident Reports, and other required documentation.
•Follow post orders, facility rules, company policies, and applicable laws.
•Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working around patients, visitors, staff, and sensitive situations.
•Maintain a clean uniform, professional appearance, and calm command presence throughout the shift.
•Perform other security-related duties as assigned by a supervisor or facility representative.
Minimum Requirements:
•Must be at least 18 years old.
•Active California BSIS Guard Card required.
•Must provide a copy of current BSIS Guard Card.
•Must provide copies of required training certificates.
•Must have completed BSIS-required training, including Power to Arrest and Appropriate Use of Force.
•Must have completed or be able to provide documentation of the required 32 hours of BSIS-mandated security officer training.
•Must complete annual continuing education/refresher training as applicable.
•Valid California identification card or valid driver’s license required.
•Reliable transportation required.
•Reliable means of communication required.
•Must pass background screening consistent with California employment law.
•Must comply with company and client policies related to safety, confidentiality, reporting, uniforms, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping, impairment, and professional conduct.
•Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
•Must be able to walk assigned patrol routes and remain alert throughout the shift.
•Must be able to bend, kneel, climb stairs when needed, and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
•Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, visitors, staff, supervisors, emergency responders, and the public.
•Must be able to write clear, factual, and professional reports.
•Must be able to remain calm, respectful, and level-headed in stressful or emotional situations.
Required Documentation:
Applicants should be prepared to provide copies of the following:
•Current BSIS Guard Card.
•Power to Arrest certificate.
•Appropriate Use of Force certificate.
•Certificates verifying completion of required BSIS training.
•Certificates verifying completion of the required 32 hours of BSIS-mandated security officer training.
•Annual continuing education/refresher training certificates, if applicable.
•Any additional security-related certifications, including baton, OC spray, de-escalation, CPR/First Aid, report writing, healthcare security, or emergency response training.
•Valid California identification card or driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Prior security experience preferred.
•Prior healthcare, medical facility, hospital, clinic, behavioral health, public agency, or customer-service experience preferred.
•Strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills.
•Strong report-writing skills.
•Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
•Current BSIS Baton Permit or OC spray certification preferred, if applicable to assignment.
•Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, public safety, or first responder experience is a plus.
•Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
•Strong attendance history, professional appearance, and customer-service mindset.
