PIPECARE Group is one of the world's leading in-line inspection companies, with over 20 years of experience providing technology-driven solutions to the oil and gas industry. We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer Intern to join our team in Zug, Switzerland.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in technical sales, proposal preparation, commercial operations, and customer relationship management within an international engineering environment.
We are only considering candidates who are currently based in Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for customer inquiries.
- Support the sales team in reviewing tender documents and project requirements.
- Help prepare cost estimates and maintain sales documentation.
- Update customer information and sales records in the company's CRM/EMS system.
- Coordinate with internal departments including Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams during the bidding process.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and sales documentation.
- Monitor inquiry status and support timely submission of quotations.
- Participate in customer meetings and internal project discussions when required.
- Conduct market and competitor research to support business development activities.
- Help maintain strong relationships with customers through professional communication.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Sales Manager or Territory Business Development Manager.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
- Interest in technical sales, business development, or commercial engineering.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English is required; German or additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of the oil and gas industry or industrial services.
- Familiarity with technical documentation or engineering drawings is an advantage.
- Exposure to CRM, ERP, or proposal management systems is a plus.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
- Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
