About the Role:
The Horticulture Technician maintains and enhances Tribal Government grounds and campus horticultural areas, including gardens, orchards, and greenhouses. Responsibilities include planting, harvesting, inspecting, and general upkeep, along with other duties as needed to support program goals. PCI Employees are expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs and departmental objectives, as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with planting, watering, pruning, and general plant care.
- Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, weeding, and mulching.
- Operate and maintain tools and small equipment.
- Support greenhouse or nursery operations.
- Maintain grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor facilities.
- Follow safety protocols and report issues or observations.
- Assist with events, departmental needs, and other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year of related employment experience in the landscaping or grounds upkeep field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plant care and landscaping preferred.
- Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
- Must complete the required criminal and character background check.
- Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.
- Must maintain a record of dependability and promptness.
- Ability to remain engaged until assignments are completed and overcome obstacles.
- Takes accountability for performance and results.
- Open and honest communicator and follows policies and procedures.

INDIAN PREFERENCE, SPOUSAL PREFERENCE, OR FIRST GENERATION:
