Lead a Growing Team at NDTCO

New Direction Trust Company (NDTCO) is looking for a people-focused, service-driven leader to help oversee and support our Transactions team.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on coaching employees, improving operational workflows, supporting client experiences, and building strong partnerships across departments in a fast-paced financial services environment.

About the Role

The Transaction Specialist Team Lead is responsible for supporting the daily operations, workflow management, and development of the Transactions team while maintaining a strong understanding of transaction processing responsibilities. This role serves as a working leader who provides guidance, mentorship, and operational support to team members while helping ensure transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with IRS regulations and internal policies.

This individual will play a key role in employee development, process improvement, accountability, and maintaining a collaborative, positive team environment. The ideal candidate is organized, solutions-oriented, client-focused, and passionate about helping others succeed.

What You’ll DoTeam Leadership & Development
  • Coach and support Transaction Specialists in day-to-day responsibilities and development
  • Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and employee growth
  • Help manage workflow distribution, productivity, and operational priorities
  • Foster accountability, teamwork, and a positive team culture
  • Serve as a resource for escalations, questions, and transaction guidance
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies
Transaction Oversight
  • Review, interpret, and process investment transactions involving alternative assets
  • Ensure transactions align with IRS guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
  • Assist with risk mitigation by identifying irregularities and ensuring proper documentation
  • Support transaction funding and investor document fulfillment
  • Maintain a strong understanding of transaction processes and asset types
Client Experience
  • Deliver a high level of client service through responsiveness, professionalism, and proactive communication
  • Support team members in resolving client concerns and delivering solutions-oriented service
  • Help ensure clients receive timely, accurate, and positive experiences throughout the transaction process

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Oracle CX Cloud experience is a plus
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, banking, trust, or related industries
  • Previous leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience preferred
  • IRA, trust company, or alternative investment experience strongly preferred
  • Experience handling complex financial transactions and client communication
