Being good neighbors – helping people, investing in our communities, and making the world a better place – is who we are at State Farm. It is at the core of how we operate and the reason for our success. We're moving with urgency to become a Next Gen Good Neighbor, with technology that strengthens human connections and enhances the customer experience. As an employee, you'll spend less time navigating systems and more time applying judgment, empathy, and expertise in the moments that matter most.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Agency Management Analyst helps steward State Farm’s relationships and investments with our marketing agency partners. You will help make agency performance transparent, run the governance behind agency scope, selection, and commercial terms, and give internal teams the guidance they need to maximize value of our marketing partnerships, minimize risk, and keep every partnership aligned to State Farm’s strategic priorities and goals.

This team works in close partnership with the broader Marketing leadership as well as Procurement, Finance, Legal, and the agencies themselves. We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating broadly and excited to build and scale a growing capability within State Farm.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities may span any of the following areas:

  • Agency portfolio and roster strategy: Assess agency capabilities, strengths, and gaps; support roster planning; identify capability redundancies or gaps and recommend actions to resolve.
  • Scope and contract management: Support the annual Scope of Work process and contract development; help define clear, outcome-oriented scopes; manage scope changes and track contract requests through to completion, in partnership with Procurement and Legal.
  • Performance and KPI management: Coordinate business reviews, scorecards, and KPIs; monitor agency performance; help agencies and business teams work through performance issues to resolution.
  • Financial stewardship and compensation: Track agency budgets, forecasts, and spend against targets; audit fees, hours, and third-party expenses; support the design of compensation and incentives that reward business priorities, in partnership with Procurement.
  • Relationship health and issue resolution: Build productive relationships with both agency and internal partners; help surface misalignment early and support the team in resolving it as an objective, neutral party focused on performance and outcomes.
  • Data, reporting, and analysis: Build dashboards, scorecards, and portfolio and spend reporting; keep reporting accurate and trustworthy; turn data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Governance and process improvement: Develop and maintain governance processes, documentation, and operating procedures; check that internal teams and agencies follow agreed process; find ways to simplify and improve.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Partner across Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and agency teams to align priorities, manage deliverables, and resolve day-to-day challenges.
  • Strategic communication: Prepare clear, executive-ready reports and presentations on agency strategy, performance, investment, and governance.
  • Change management: Support the rollout of new agency management routines, governance, and tools through documentation, communication, and team training.
