Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting assessment activities and contributing to case planning for assigned families and children. The role requires a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours, to meet the needs of families.
This position reports directly to the Family Preservation Program (FPP) Supervisor and operates under the general oversight of the Family Preservation Program (FPP) Manager.
Responsibilities:
Arrange and schedule parent/child visitation times.
Assist with transportation for the parents and child(ren) to and from the visitation location(s)
Observe parenting time visits and interactions between parents and children.
Document and report observations objectively and factually in accordance with agency and court requirements.
Complete required reports in a timely manner.
Complete required trainings.
Provide court testimony when requested, limited to factual observations and documentation.
Transport children or parent(s) to and from visits when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma, or equivalent.
Experience: Two years of experience working with families and children in areas such as parenting, childcare, household management, nutrition, or budgeting.
Other Requirements:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong observational and documentation skills.
Prior experience with Microsoft Office or other word processing applications/programs.
Satisfactory completion of criminal and abuse background checks.
Satisfactory verification through the sex offender registry.
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Reliable transportation.
