The Mental Health Therapist plays a vital role in empowering individuals to improve their mental health and overall well-being. Through comprehensive assessments and clinical evaluations, the therapist identifies each client's unique needs and develops individualized treatment plans. Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other clinically appropriate interventions, the therapist provides compassionate, client-centered care that promotes healing, resilience, and lasting positive change.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning and identify treatment needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy services in accordance with COMAR regulations, maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in ICANotes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment strategies and clinical processes to promote high-quality, client-centered care.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and ensure compliance with all applicable COMAR regulations, HIPAA requirements, and agency policies governing client care, documentation, and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Mental Health
- Must have an active state license (LCPC, LGSW, LGPC, LCSW)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exhibits compassion, empathy, and respect for individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
- Efficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) system knowledge.
- Clinical experience.
*$6,000 sign-on bonus will be paid in quarterly installments of $1,500 every three months, contingent upon continued, in good standing employment.
