Description:

Alliance Workforce Management is hiring Plant Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume food manufacturing facility in Owasso. This role is essential for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable production equipment to ensure smooth operations and compliance with food safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance on conveyors, grinders, slicers, packaging systems, refrigeration units, and other production machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect equipment, identify worn or damaged components, and replace parts to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct routine checks on refrigeration and HVAC systems to support temperature-control and food safety compliance.
  • Follow OSHA, USDA, FDA, and internal safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and production line improvements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, repair logs, inspections, and parts usage.
  • Collaborate with production and QA teams to resolve equipment issues affecting product quality or output.
  • Train operators on basic troubleshooting and proper equipment handling.
  • Follow all company policies, sanitation rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing or industrial processing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing automated machinery.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, and control panels is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in cold or humid environments.
Requirements: Work Environment
  • Frequent physical activity including crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, twisting, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift 70+ lbs unassisted when handling tools or parts.
  • Extended standing and walking on concrete floors that may be wet or slippery.
  • Work performed in environments ranging from –40°F to –45°F, with occasional exposure to heat near ovens or machinery.
  • Exposure to strong odors from raw and seasoned meat products.
  • Required PPE includes smocks, rubber-soled shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, and hard hats.
  • High noise levels require consistent use of hearing protection.
  • Precise vision required for detailed inspections, electrical color-code identification, and equipment diagnostics.
