PO - Product Owner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PO - Product Owner based in Brazil.

This is a senior Product Owner opportunity focused on evolving financial products and processes in the context of Brazil’s Tax Reform. You will act as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, Product, and Technology teams. The role combines product strategy, discovery, backlog management, and delivery oversight in a complex regulatory environment. You will translate sophisticated tax, financial, and accounting requirements into clear, actionable product requirements. Working with multidisciplinary Agile teams, you will help shape roadmaps, prioritize value, and ensure successful delivery. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and make informed decisions will directly influence product outcomes. Accountabilities:
  • Define and communicate product vision, objectives, priorities, and expected outcomes in alignment with business needs.
  • Manage, organize, detail, and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the highest-value initiatives are clearly defined and actionable.
  • Create and refine epics, features, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead discovery, refinement, planning, and other product activities with multidisciplinary Product and Technology teams.
  • Translate complex tax, financial, accounting, and business rules into clear requirements that development teams can effectively implement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align priorities, resolve competing needs, and establish clear expectations around scope, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Monitor delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and scope changes, taking ownership of issues and driving them toward resolution.
  • Support the creation and continuous evolution of the product roadmap, particularly for initiatives related to Tax Reform and financial processes.
  • Monitor product indicators and value-generation metrics to support data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the evolution of financial products and processes while ensuring business, regulatory, and technology needs remain aligned.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Product Owner or in a related Product Management role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and processes.
  • Experience or knowledge of Brazil’s Tax Reform and/or fiscal, tax, financial, or accounting processes.
  • Hands-on experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to translate complex business rules and requirements into clear, structured, and actionable specifications.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Analytical, organized, collaborative, and results-oriented approach to work.
  • Strong decision-making skills, autonomy, and a clear sense of ownership.
  • Experience in financial institutions, fintechs, or payment companies is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to regulatory compliance or Tax Reform projects is a plus.
  • Knowledge of billing, payments, and accounting entries is desirable.
  • Familiarity with system integrations and APIs is desirable.
  • Certifications in Product Ownership, Product Management, or Agile methodologies are considered an advantage.
