Accountabilities
  • Lead long-range, annual, and quarterly financial planning cycles in close partnership with executive leadership, ensuring resources are aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Strategic Finance team that serves as a trusted thought partner to senior stakeholders across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting corporate strategy, scenario planning, investment decisions, and business performance.
  • Establish and continuously improve forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and financial management processes and systems as the organization scales.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze key business and financial metrics, translating complex data into actionable insights for executive decision-making.
  • Partner across functions, including Product, Sales, and G&A, to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and improve financial outcomes.
  • Support major strategic initiatives, including M&A, capital markets activities, investor relations, and Board-level financial discussions.
  • Promote a culture of high ownership, analytical rigor, clear communication, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
Requirements
  • 8–10+ years of relevant experience across investment banking, private equity, consulting, venture capital, or strategic finance within a high-growth technology company.
  • At least 2+ years of people leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to hire, manage, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Strong track record of building or scaling finance functions in fast-growing technology or startup environments.
  • Expert-level financial modeling capabilities and a strong understanding of GAAP financial statements and corporate finance principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership and investors through data-driven insights and compelling financial narratives.
  • Excellent executive communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to collaborate across functions and organizational levels.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred; an MBA is a plus.
  • Comfort operating in a high-velocity, ambiguous environment where priorities can evolve quickly and decisions require sound judgment.
  • Strong AI fluency and a willingness to use AI tools to accelerate workflows, structure complex problems, improve output quality, and increase overall leverage.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience, skills, and market conditions.
  • Opportunity to lead and shape a strategic finance function within a rapidly growing technology business.
  • High level of ownership and direct exposure to executive leadership, strategic planning, investors, and Board-level priorities.
  • Remote-first, distributed working environment with access to hubs across North America, Europe, and Asia.
  • Mission-driven work at the intersection of AI, national security, financial intelligence, and efforts to combat financial crime.
  • Collaborative culture emphasizing impact, craftsmanship, adaptability, and continuous learning.
  • Opportunity to work alongside ambitious, highly skilled professionals on complex and meaningful problems.
  • An environment that encourages experimentation, rapid execution, creative problem-solving, and meaningful professional growth.
