Technical Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Project Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects across engineering, operations, and manufacturing in a highly collaborative environment.
You will coordinate cross-functional teams, translate business requirements into actionable plans, and ensure projects meet strategic objectives.
The position combines technical understanding with strong project leadership, financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope, schedule, cost, resources, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Working with geographically dispersed teams and external partners, you will drive accountability and keep critical initiatives moving forward.

Accountabilities
  • Lead concurrent projects across engineering, operations, and manufacturing, ensuring successful delivery within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Communicate project objectives and align project teams with broader organizational, portfolio, sponsor, and customer goals.
  • Establish milestones, goals, objectives, and priorities in collaboration with functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate business requirements gathering, documentation, validation, and stakeholder approval.
  • Translate approved requirements into actionable tasks and establish priorities for project team members.
  • Coordinate project schedules and resources with functional project managers to ensure requirements can be delivered effectively.
  • Establish and manage project scope and costs, balancing requirements, timelines, resources, and financial constraints.
  • Monitor project execution closely, proactively driving tasks to completion and addressing issues that could affect delivery.
  • Perform project cost analysis covering travel, training, resource allocation, and other relevant expenses, while identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Manage resource capacity, time tracking, project KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Identify potential risks and problem areas, develop alternative solutions, and serve as an escalation point for conflict and issue resolution.
  • Manage change control processes to maintain alignment between approved changes, project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Provide regular and concise project updates covering performance, variances, risks, issues, and corrective actions to stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Coordinate RFI/RFP activities with third parties and internal procurement teams to support current and future business needs.
  • Maintain effective relationships and regular communication with external service providers.
  • Review and approve payment requests and change orders as appropriate.
  • Recommend, prepare, and deliver training related to the implementation of key initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the project management community through coaching, knowledge sharing, and promotion of best practices.
  • Maintain a strong customer-service mindset by anticipating stakeholder needs, resolving concerns efficiently, and delivering effective solutions.
  • Follow applicable security policies, procedures, and organizational requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5–8 years of progressively responsible experience leading medium-sized or complex projects involving matrixed, cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or shop-floor environment, with exposure to product design and manufacturing execution systems.
  • PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
  • Experience using project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Teams and Project.
  • Strong ability to influence, motivate, and hold teams accountable without relying on direct reporting authority.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences and organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical, logical-thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, creative, resourceful, and efficient when addressing complex and time-sensitive challenges.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to facilitate decisions and build alignment among stakeholders and management.
  • Comfortable working with diverse, geographically distributed teams.
  • Highly adaptable to changing technologies, processes, priorities, and business environments.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining project quality and delivery commitments.
