What we are looking for:
We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and collaborative Senior Analyst to help lead FEMA task orders spanning two related work streams: standardizing operating procedures across programs, and strengthening stakeholder communications and executive coordination. Depending on background and fit, Senior Analysts on these task orders may focus on process mapping and SOP development, on communications and executive support, or on a blend of both - operating with minimal oversight under a Task Lead to build a common operational foundation and a consistent, sequenced approach to messaging and reporting across programs. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, client-facing maturity, and experience mentoring junior team members.
What you'll do:
- Lead or independently own portions of process-mapping, SOP development, and documentation efforts, operating with minimal coaching or oversight.
- Conduct quality reviews of deliverables produced by junior and program analysts, providing feedback and guidance to strengthen their work.
- Develop and refine tools, templates, and methods that improve how the team documents processes, manages the repository, and reports on progress.
- Facilitate client review and feedback sessions on SOPs, communications materials, and reporting deliverables.
- Anticipate and raise risks to approach, scope, or schedule to client and project leadership before they become issues.
- Lead development of leadership communication materials and help shape the stakeholder engagement strategy to ensure consistent, well-sequenced messaging.
- Oversee the data collection and verification process to ensure reporting accuracy across programs.
- Provide executive coordination oversight for higher-stakes meetings, including agenda development and escalation handling.
- Act as a trusted resource to client and project leadership, applying a strong understanding of client priorities and the broader program landscape.
- Mentor junior and program analysts, sharing knowledge and modeling compliance with timekeeping and other contract and corporate policies.
- Stay attuned to emerging client needs and the competitive landscape, flagging opportunities for improvement or contract expansion.
- Contribute thought leadership to internal knowledge-sharing and other corporate initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting program management, business process improvement, communications, operations, or coordination efforts in a government or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading portions of client deliverables with minimal oversight, ideally spanning process mapping/SOP development, stakeholder communications, or executive coordination.
- Experience reviewing others’ work and providing constructive feedback; prior mentoring experience preferred.
- Strong judgment and the ability to anticipate risks to scope, schedule, or approach and communicate them clearly to leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate client discussions and manage feedback on deliverables.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines across program offices in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with version-control, document-management, or data-visualization platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI) preferred.
- Ability to work onsite as required in a professional client environment.
- Active DHS suitability or ability to obtain/maintain required clearance/access.
- Significant experience supporting DHS or other federal programs preferred.
Next Steps:
If your application looks like a match, someone from our People Operations team will reach out to schedule a phone screening. During this conversation, we will determine if the current or future position aligns with your experience and skills. If things go well, from there you'll meet with members from the project team, including the hiring manager and teammates, and possibly be asked to submit a writing assessment to showcase your practical knowledge. If we find you are a match, you’ll get a call offering you the role. While we wish we could hire every great candidate who comes our way, the reality is that we can't. If you are not selected, we will be sure to connect with you and let you know so you can move on with your search. We will also keep your resume for future needs.
