SUMMARY
The HR On Demand Consultant is responsible for providing exemplary HR services and support to multiple client companies. The role requires a best-practices approach to Human Resources, a client-focused orientation, and the ability to effectively manage a diverse client-base. Assignments vary in nature, duration, and hours of work. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a variety of assignments, flexible scheduling and work/life balance.?Assignments are made based on client needs so there is no guarantee of hours or regular schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide HR consulting services and support to member and non-member client companies. Work includes:
Providing fractional or part-time HR support (onsite and remote) for client companies
Performing HR project work including:
Employee Handbook reviews and revisions,
Audits (HR, I-9 and FLSA)
Workplace Investigations
Coaching/support for leaders
Outplacement Counseling
Job Description creation and career path development
Performance Management development and support
HRIS support
Benefits administration and support
Payroll administration and support
Organizational Development projects
Recruiting and talent acquisition
Onboarding/offboarding (new hire orientation/exit interviews)
Focus groups
May have an opportunity for speaking engagements and training delivery
Meets with engaged clients weekly to provide status updates and to inquire if there are other projects we can assist on.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
· Ability to engage in consultative based sales to secure new HR consulting assignments from existing clients.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Customer-focused and highly responsive client follow-up
· Strong Technical skills: MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams Adobe and other virtual platforms
· Experience with at least 2-3 common HRIS systems (ADP, Paylocity, Paycor, Paycom, Workday, Paychex, Bamboo HR etc.)
· Ability to learn specialized software programs.
· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and multi-tasking skills
· Solid foundation in federal employment and labor laws
· Flexibility in schedule availability
· Ability to travel as needed daily in the local area
· Ability to work a flexible schedule of 15-30 hours/week. (Our projects are determined by the needs of our members; we are not able to guarantee specific hours or length of projects.)
· Experience implementing HRIS modules or enterprise-wide systems preferred
TRAVEL
Catapult is a remote-first employer, however, employees must be willing to travel to assignments when required to be onsite, other Catapult locations and throughout the Catapult service area as determined by company.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· 10+ years of professional exempt-level HR experience
· Solid foundation in federal employment and labor laws, preferably supporting organizations in multiple states
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in an HR Generalist or HR Management role
· HR Certification such as HRCI or SHRM preferred
