Basic Qualifications


Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Skill(s): Proficient in English, reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical, mathematics skills, and accounting skills; proficient communication, interpersonal relations, and customer service skills; proficient PC skills including knowledge of job-related software applications; ability to operate various office machines; demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams. Strong understanding of banking products, services, and regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.


General Responsibilities

As the Market Manager you will oversee the sales and operations of multiple branch locations within an assigned market. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service across all assigned sites, balancing your time and presence effectively among locations. This role requires strong leadership skills, problem solving skills, excellent communication, time management abilities strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the banking industry.


Essential Duties


  • Sales Management: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and drive revenue growth across all assigned branch locations.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of banking professionals, ensuring high performance and professional development.
  • Customer Service: Ensure a superior customer experience by maintaining high service standards and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including transaction processing, compliance, and security protocols.
  • Multi-Site Coordination: Allocate time and travel efficiently across all assigned branch locations; coordinate staffing and scheduling across sites to maintain adequate coverage; and standardize policies, procedures, and service quality to ensure a consistent customer experience at every location.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.

  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets for all assigned branch locations, manage expenses, and ensure financial targets are met at each site.

  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and community organizations to enhance the bank's presence and reputation.


  • Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to each branch office as established in the Retail Banking Division's annual operating plan; assists in the development of the annual budget for each office and adheres to budget parameters.

  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.

  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements, e.g. Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act, etc.; ensures that each office and all personnel adhere to the same.

  • Directly supervises assigned personnel as follows:
  • Assists in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
  • Makes provisions for the proper orientation and training of new personnel.
  • Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on a regularly scheduled basis thereafter.
  • Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel.
  • Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting their assigned offices and/or their jobs; creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged, regardless of location.
  • Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.

  • Communicates with the 1st VP Regional Operations Manager, other office managers, and appropriate staff personnel in order to integrate goals and activities.

  • Provides periodic reports to the 1st VP Regional Operations Manager and other groups as required throughout the Bank.
