MANAGER, STROKE & ACCREDITATION in Chicago, Illinois at Sinai Chicago

Responsible for the operational and regulatory management of the accredited primary stroke center & Chest Pain center; charged with maintaining JC Disease Specific Certification of Mount Sinai Hospital by demonstrating compliance with national standards and guidelines for stroke care and ensures that the hospital maintains such certification; acts as subject-matter expert and provides consultation on principles and methodology related to Joint Commission, Brain Attack Coalition Primary and Comprehensive Stroke Center Guidelines; collaborates with various entities to ensure the overall success of the stroke program.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Baccalaureate degree in health-related field; Master’s degree/MBA preferred. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years' experience (3 yrs with advanced degree) in a medical center or public health setting; experience in financial management, program development, quality improvement and project management; demonstrated knowledge of hospital operations, areas and departments; prior experience working with Service Lines and/or matrix healthcare organizations preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Ability to assume managerial roles; demonstrated leadership attributes; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to develop interpersonal working relationships to enhance communications, promote conflict resolution and facilitate staff development. Strong clinical background in acute care, ambulatory care and quality management. Outstanding negotiation skills; ability to think conceptually and apply concepts in practical application; ability to formulate and implement new program/business plans.
