Security Guard in Odessa, Texas at Medical Center Hospital

Position Summary:

Under direct/indirect supervision, provide a safe and secure environment, both internally and externally, throughout properties of the Ector County Hospital District. Perform routine standards as set forth in the Department Policies and Procedures Manual.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Be able to follow written and oral instructions. Security Training preferred. Valid Texas Class C driver’s license required. Must be 21 years of age or older.

Training and Experience:

Must be able to use personal computer, typewriter, two-way radio, and telephone. Must be able to qualify for Texas Motor Vehicle Insurance. Must purchase and wear complete Security Officer Uniform.

Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Must have visual, auditory and olfactory acuity. Requires lots of standing, walking and climbing. Must be able to work under stressful conditions with varying work hours and shifts.
