WAREHOUSE CLERK at Conway Medical Center – Conway, South Carolina

Position Summary: The Warehouse Clerk (WC) will be responsible for receiving, stocking, issuing, and distribution of supplies. The WC is expected to deliver supplies to various departments and Physicians’ offices utilizing company van. The WC will be expected to deliver supplies efficiently, accurately, punctually, and meet all scheduled deliveries, while carrying out immediate delivers. The WC is responsible for ensuring stock is rotated and checked weekly and notifies Supply Coordinator when materials reach low levels.The WC will be cross trained in all areas of the warehouse purchasing and receiving. The WC must be willing to coordinate alternate housing within the facility in advance of shifts when inclement weather potential threatens the ability to get to the facility. The WC may be required to report back to work during any emergency situation i.e. mass casualty, internal disaster, etc. Qualifications Education:

• High school diploma required.

Experience:

• Previous moving, storage, an inventory related experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in hospital material management preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Valid South Carolina Driver’s License in good standing required.

Physical Requirements:
Medium Heavy - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 2/3 to 3/4 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert 30 to 45 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 15 to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 15 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to hear to process instructions and safety code and alarms required.
