Armed Officer- Protective Services in Cookeville, Tennessee at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

This position will protect staff, patients, and visitors and ensure that all hospital property is secure. Your duties are to patrol the building and its grounds, monitor all activity in and out of the hospital, and endeavor to prevent vandalism, theft, fire, and disturbances within the facility.

Additional Education Requirements

High School Diploma / GED required with post secondary education / experience in criminal justice preferred.

Must complete the first two IAHSS levels of certification and other required training within the first 12 months of employment or promotion.

If designated and assigned by director a valid driver’s license would be required which includes: • No more than 2 Minor Violation or at fault accident in the past 12 mos. or 3 in the past 3 years. • No major violations in the past 3 years • No suspended, expired, revoked, or other status indicating the driver is not licensed. • No inexperienced drivers having less than 3 years operating the vehicle type they are driving.

Additional Experience Requirements

Must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of one year military, law enforcement, armed security experience, or possess a specific skill that would benefit the department and hospital. Exemplary CRMC Protective Services job and training performance and State of Tennessee Armed Security license accepted in lieu of other experience.
