Facilities Technician (3rd shift) at Bocar US – Tanner, Alabama

The facility tech works with the facilities manager to assist with the development and monitoring of preventative maintenance program for all facilities related equipment and systems.

Impact of this role and key deliverables

• Adhere to compliance with company policies
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and EAP regulations.
• Perform minor building maintenance tasks as required: plumbing, electrical, air filters, doors, dock levers, floor stripping, etc.
• Assist with analysis- Determine risk and hazards associated with production process; ensuring processes are operational and effective.
• Assist in conducting evaluations and making recommendations regarding the potential fire hazards of building, finish goods, chemicals, and production equipment.
• Assist with coordinating tornado and fire drills.
• Assist with maintaining fire prevention system to assure national fire protection association and Fire marshall compliance.
• Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting the facilities, machinery, and safety equipment. Report findings and corrective actions to facilities manager.
• Perform other duties as requested by facility manager.

Minimum Requirements

• Training on preventative maintenance for HVAC equipment and TRACER system management experience
• Blueprint reading, Forklift certification, Electrical systems, HVAC, and BA systems.
• High school and Technical career desirable
• 3 years on production area
