Description:

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance on chiller and boiler units electrical and mechanical components
  • Following all EPA guidelines in recovering refrigerant, replacement of O-rings, gaskets, seals and bearings, sleeve Babbitt, thrust/counterthrust and roller bearings
  • Performs boiler inspections and PM teardowns per current state code guidelines
  • Troubleshoot, Diagnose, and Repair Chillers, industrial refrigeration, and Commercial HVAC equipment
  • Perform maintenance of HVAC equipment such as atmospheric boiler, water cooled chiller
  • Support sales in estimating
  • Support Service Coordinator in scheduling and coordinating work
  • Install, calibrate, inspect, service, and repair cooling tower machinery
  • Communicate with Customers about the status of equipment and repairs
  • Maintain accountability for assigned tools and supplies
  • Complete necessary service paperwork
Requirements:

Requirements/Education:

  • 5 years minimum experience
  • Post-secondary vocational or technical school diploma in HVAC or Refrigeration from an accredited Institution required OR a recognized apprenticeship program
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Must be a team player and successfully juggle and complete multiple priorities
