Responsibilities:

• At the start of shift, the employee shall verify and maintain all machining fluids.
• While operating machines, each employee shall operate machines at their full capacity regardless of hourly rate.
• Burrs, sharp edges, and debris shall be removed from parts before packaging.
• If any deviations from print or quality checks are found, Setup Technicians/Shift Lead employees shall stop production and inform their supervisor or quality.
• Setup Technicians/Shift Lead employees shall stop production and inform their supervisor if any machine or fixture issues are discovered. They are also required to rectify the issue if possible.
• Any change to a tool or fixture shall be verified by selecting single-block mode, and verifying distance to go before returning the machine to production.
• During a setup, dispose previous paperwork and return previous gauging to the quality department.
• Conduct layer checks or final checks on product when time allows (e.g., cycle time, awaiting QC reports, end of shift).
• By the end of shift, the employee shall remove all debris from machine and work area.

• Exceed qualifications of Operator A, B & C
• Advanced print reading skills
• Advanced understanding of G & M codes
• Set up; program and operate CNC machine centers
• Train other machinists on various machines
• Assist in the decision-making process of future machine and tooling purchases
• Maintenance and repair of machines
• Meets with engineers to discuss potential machine problems
• Clean work area

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CNC set ups
• Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing
• Attention to detail
• Walk and stand for the entire shift
• Vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds such as moving parts from material storage and moving parts in and out of work area.
• Must be at least 18
