Co-Op / Electrical Engineer

Summary

The Co-Op Electrical Engineer (Level 1 Systems) will develop and execute engineering solutions for modernizations and new installations of Level 1 control systems for Rolling Mill, Metallurgy and Process Line equipment.

What you’ll do:

• Work as part of project team to develop complex control systems for the metals industry
• Develop HMI (Human Machine Interface) graphical screens to depict the operational process
• Design and implement Level 1 control systems based on project requirements, SMS standards and similar reference projects. Project include motion control, process control, drive interfaces, and process model interfaces
• Participate in integration testing of the control system before shipment to the job site
• Work with mentor engineers who will assist in training and support of assigned duties

What you need:

• Actively pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
• Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar degree
• Interest in automation, motion control, and process control
• Knowledge of MS Office software a plus
