Job Description

The Transfer and Degree Audit Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring our students’ academic progress toward degree completion. This position evaluates transfer credits, conducts degree audits, and provides support and guidance to students regarding their academic progress. Working closely with the Student Systems and Reporting Specialist and the Curriculum and Catalog Specialist, the Transfer and Degree Audit Specialist will maintain the degree requirements in the student information system and planning software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate transfer credits from other institutions to determine applicability towards degree requirements.
  • Conduct degree audits for students to ensure they are on track to meet graduation requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to students regarding academic policies, procedures, and degree requirements.
  • Build degree audit requirements in the student information system and planning software and maintain requirements according to curriculum changes.
  • Manage Acadeum Course Sharing, course building, and communicating with students.
  • Assist students with course selection and registration.
  • Maintain accurate student records related to academic progress.
  • Manage the honor’s list process and communicate with eligible students.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to resolve student academic issues.
  • Develop and maintain resources related to transfer credit and degree audit processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent and relevant work experience).
  • Experience working in higher education, preferably in a registrar's office.
  • Strong knowledge of academic policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in student information systems and degree audit software.
