About This Position
About the Role:
Serve as the FT-Innovations Director of Capture engaging with FT-Innovations program managers, senior leaders, the acquisition community, and DoD clients to shape acquisition opportunities for work across the DoD community to support company growth. Demonstrate effective collaboration with subject and technical matter experts, functional leads, and FTI Program Managers with an ability to translate technical information into proposal submissions.
Position Summary:
Leverage senior-level leadership and extensive community relationships in the defense industry and with government clients. Conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the client's senior management to comprehend their needs and link them to the organization's product or service strategies. Drive major capture efforts from start to finish, lead capture efforts across a team, and support business staff in captures that are especially demanding.
Drive corporate teaming and direct technical and cost proposal volumes through final submission with specific focus on growth and capture initiatives within the organization. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time sensitive and often multi-tasking environment. Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements leveraging knowledge of FAR, to create a targeted, differentiated win strategy. Develop and execute customer engagement plan to reinforce win strategy and shape deal toward FT-Innovations strengths. Conduct and participate with internal company gate requirements, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews; lead and document lessons learned. Manage opportunity validation and maturation to assist FT-Innovations in determining Pursue/ No pursue and Bid / No Bid decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in capture management, business development, or a related field
- TS—SCI eligible security clearance
- Experience as a Capture Manager directly leading and managing complex capture efforts for industry within DoD or Intelligence Community customer set
- Experience with developing technical solutions for DoD and the Intelligence Community in telecom, cyber and or base infrastructure domain
- Expert knowledge of U.S. federal Government services/solutions contracting/buying practices to include direct familiarity with various acquisition pathways (General Services Administration (GSA), One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS), ASTRO, IAC MAC, etc
- Experience with executing all phases of capture efforts, including strategic planning, shaping, teaming, proposals, and competitive analyses
- Experience with developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and partners
- Experience in proposal development and writing with organizations and program offices in the Department of Defense with a variety of acquisition sizes
- Ability to be in the local MD/VA/DC area over 50% of the time to support customer visits and build relationships with current and other program offices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience working with government customers
- Experience leading capture efforts for contracts valued at $50M+
- Experience with competitive intelligence and price-to-win analysis
- Active security clearance
- Preferred locations: DC/VA/MD
