Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician IV
Location: Wilson, NC
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician IV to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial equipment repair, service, and replacement in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a strong focus on electromechanical systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay: $38.61 per hour, with weekly pay.
Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Hours: At least 40 hours per week, full-time hourly position. Work schedule from now until March 2025.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate and conduct all processes safely, adhering to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) rules and regulations.
- Perform the duties of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician I, II, and III as required.
- Provide hands-on maintenance support for industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled machinery, automation systems, and process control systems.
- Perform basic program changes and updates to PLC programming and automation systems.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate instrumentation throughout the facility to ensure accurate process control.
- Maintain, repair, and replace industrial equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and document maintenance activities as required.
- Actively engage in plant-wide HSE, quality, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Participate in voluntary Safety Team rotations, assisting with safety audits, hazard identification, near-miss reporting, and BBS activities.
- Follow plant safety protocols, wear PPE, and report injuries, illnesses, or incidents immediately.
- Practice good housekeeping, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical degree or certification in Instrumentation, Electromechanical Engineering, Journeyman Metal Fabrication, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in automation, instrumentation, and electromechanical maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and PLC systems.
- Forklift operation experience
Certification:
- Forklift Certification preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong hands-on experience with industrial equipment maintenance, including instrumentation, electromechanical systems, welding, metal fabrication, and pipefitting.
- Proficient in using mechanical tools and understanding mechanical/electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience with plant safety systems, including Confined Space Entry, Hot Work Permitting, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a manufacturing plant environment, primarily in a glass manufacturing setting with high ambient temperatures.
- Ability to work in potentially hazardous conditions while adhering to safety protocols.
