Job purpose

The E-Commerce Merchandising Manager, under the direction of the Director of Digital & E-Commerce Marketing, will have overall responsibility for implementing marketing tactics and digital marketing optimization practices to generate online sales for all categories. As a manager you will lead the web marketing team in achieving KIP’s, increase the customer experience, personalization and testing, product deployment. You will liaise cross functionally with other teams to ensure that projects are aligned, and each website project is supporting the overall business goals and objectives.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Work closely with Data Analysts and Category Managers to identify actionable customer insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, IT, data analysts, and stakeholders to define and implement intuitive and user-centered experiences.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate the customer journey and address friction points.
  • Responsible for managing & executing the online merchandising plan and calendar.
    With the ongoing support of the Director, Digital & E-commerce Marketing, participate in the 360 digital media strategy & execution
  • Lead and develop a team of web merchandisers, and web administrators
  • Stay up to date with industry trends for taxonomy, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX, and apply these insights to improve our products visibility and customer experiences
  • Manage online taxonomy, navigation and sorting
  • Achieve category financial targets and KPI’s
  • Act as business unit project manager for enterprise-wide projects
  • Configure and optimize rules-based and profile-based (predictive) personalization tactics and experience-automation plans. Work with the core team as well as extended marketing team members to develop specific tactics targeting top segments and then translating them into precise configurations in the Sitecore platform
  • Create and implement, with the help of the Marketing Technology Specialist, A/B testing plans.
  • Manage, measure and optimize experience initiatives, particularly through A/B and multivariate testing
  • Learn and implement Sitecore/Contentstack marketing best practices to achieve higher levels of maturity and business success using the Sitecore/Contentstack
  • Continuously build knowledge of how to leverage Sitecore/Contentstack with related data and marketing automation products
  • Identify business and technical improvement opportunities for the website.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Digital analytics experience including data analysis and presentation of insights to different stakeholders using Sitecore, Contentstack, Google and other analytic services
  • Innate curiosity and passion for becoming truly data-driven in a rapid-testing environment
  • Experience in Digital team management, centered around producing defined KPI’s
  • Demonstrated ability to combine business acumen with effective tactical execution
  • Working knowledge of and curiosity about adjacent competencies such as context marketing lifecycle and related content management; lead management and CRM; UX; analytics; digital strategy; customer segmentation; social and SEO
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and to adjust to the needs of a fast-changing extended team environment
  • Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design and implementation solutions for approval

Digs beyond the usual sources for relevant information, and probes to obtain a full understanding of “what and why”.
