Job Title: Content Marketing Manager - Contractor

Organization: Partners in School Innovation,

Location: US Remote

Job Type: Contractor, 3 month assignment with potential to extend

Compensation: Contract Rate

Reports to: Director of Program Design and Development

Hours: Approximately, 30 hours per week, overlap with Pacific Standard Time working hours to attending planning meetings


Work Summary:

Partners in School Innovation (Partners) is seeking a consultant to offer marketing support, primarily in areas of social media management, case study development, and blog content creation. The consultant for this project will be responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s social media calendar, determining future social media content strategy, writing case studies from existing resources, and generating blog content aligned to the organization’s broader strategy. Implementation will consist of collaborating with the Partners team to identify powerful stories to share, drafting social media and blog content, and creating supporting graphics. Additional responsibilities will include providing email campaign support, marketing data tracking, and collaborating with the Partners’ team member who is managing their online community in order to ensure alignment and promotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Management
  • Implement Partners’ current social media calendar by reviewing the existing backlog of content and drafting an aligned social media plan that leverages existing content across Partners’ key channels (LinkedIn, website, and quarterly newsletters).

  • Continue to build our content library through creating blogs, case studies, social media copy, and related graphics. Collaborate with the Partners’ team member who is managing the organization’s online community hosted on Mighty Networks. The goal of this collaboration will be to align and cross-pollinate content.

  • Provide ad hoc content creation support for one-time needs such as conference collateral and collaboration on marketing templates.

2. Graphic Design & Branding
  • Design graphics on Canva for social media content that aligns with brand guidelines.

  • Design ad hoc graphics on Canva in response to requests by the internal sales, business development, and program teams in order to communicate our message more clearly through visuals.

3. Email Campaigns & Communication
  • Provide email campaign support by writing and sending out the organization’s quarterly newsletter.

4. Data Tracking & Analysis:
  • Track and monitor social media and website traffic by pulling data points and entering them into the organization’s existing tracker.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Commitment to social justice and comfort communicating about topics of race, class, and culture.

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, such as planning and executing marketing and communication plans, managing email campaigns, and employing social media.

  • Ability to create visual content such as infographics, social media graphics, and blog visuals.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or a related field or equivalent required experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with LinkedIn, Mailchimp, Zapier, Canva, and Squarespace and other digital marketing tools and integrations


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience executing marketing strategies for nonprofit organizations, especially education-based non-profits

  • Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization techniques

  • Experience in managing data, creating personalized content, and tracking campaign performance

  • Working knowledge of SEO principles and tools

  • Self-motivated, collaborative, responsive, organized and able to meet deadlines
