Job Summary

• The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at Avera Behavioral Health and Avera Addiction Care Center serves as a liaison for nurses, counselors, and patients in interdepartmental communications.
• Assists with the physical and psychological care of patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years related experience preferred.

License/Certification

• BLS –Basic Life Support required.
• CPI –Crisis Prevention Intervention required.

Work Hours

• Varied Shifts as needed; PRN
  • 10:30 am - 11:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $17.75 - $26.75
