Supervisor, EHR Orders

Position Highlights:

• EHR Orders Supervisor leads a team of Clinical Systems Analysts responsible for application design, development, implementation, and support of the Orders products within the EHR.

Responsibilities:

• Assignment of incidents and requests to the appropriate team member. Prioritize tickets, follow up on resolution, and ensure timely communication to requester. Redirect and escalate problems to correct resource. Develop standard procedures and ensure proper documentation. Works with Clinical Informatics and IT managers to pro­actively identify a clear statement of requirements for requests and project tasks.
• Develop professional development program to help strengthen a team members professional abilities by matching the individual's skills, business interests, and work values with opportunities for growth
• Oversees all day-to-day operations of the group including personnel actions. Review requests and priority, status reporting, staff development, application development, and problem resolution.

Credentials and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree – field of study: Computer Science or Healthcare related field
• Minimum 5 years experience managing service requests, project tasks in support of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Minimum 5 years experience working on healthcare ambulatory, clinical, hospital, and/or ancillary solutions
• Minimum two (2) years leadership experience as a team/project lead, supervisor, manager.

• • * Associate's with an additional two (2) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 7 years) system implementation and support of applications may be considered "in lieu of" an Bachelor's degree.

or

• • * High School diploma/GED with an additional four (4) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) system implementation and support of applications may be considered "in lieu of" an Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of the Documentation tools utilized within the current Moffitt EMR system (Cerner PowerChart)
