About This Position

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Service Line Development Director will provide oversight of the planning & design of all new and emerging service lines or strategic initiatives. This position will help to develop new service lines that are supportive to improving quality and cost of Medicaid services and enabling Community Based Organizations (CBOs) for engagement and financial success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of the Service Line Director will include the following:

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the planning, research, and design phases of each new service line.
  • Leads the day-to-day operations which includes the analysis of the business needs and determines how service line development processes should be developed or altered to manage and meet the business needs in the most efficient and effective manner.
  • Coordinates with Care Compass Analytics to analyze & model outcomes for new service lines.
  • Ensure smooth transition of service lines to operations when R&D cycle is complete.
  • Develops and monitors short-term and long-term ROI and benchmark goals for emerging service lines and a clear mechanism for achievement of those goals.
  • Provides effective leadership, management, direction, and administration of [MR1] support staff.
  • Mentors and develops staff and fosters a positive and productive work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and/or expand service lines, including identification of new service lines.
  • Researches and remains current with industry standards and new opportunities specific to service line specialties.
  • Regularly communicate status of service line development across all relevant stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Liaises with various departments including Administration, Finance and Operations departments, as well as senior management support staff to ensure optimal coordination and communication to meet operational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Is responsible for participation in committees, task forces and projects as appropriate.
  • Serve as a member of the Care Compass Leadership Team, advising on strategy for aligning across service lines and entities, ensurering Care Compass can maximize impact.
  • Establish effective strategies for programs, product/service lines and resource utilization with the goal of increasing service line growth and efficiency.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5 years of relevant experience supporting development of new programs in the healthcare and/or social care field.
  • 5 years leading diverse stakeholders to support the planning and design of new programs.
  • Experience in implementing service improvement initiatives and managing service quality standards.
  • Possesses strong communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Proficient in planning & time management
  • Utilizes critical thinking skills
  • Creative and dynamic and are able to identify unique solutions
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Must have strong personal computer program skills including virtual platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint etc.)

Preferred Experiences:

  • Working knowledge of Behavioral Health and Social Determinants of Health / Health Related Social needs.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, related field, or 5 years consulting experience.
  • Experience working in healthcare in the Southern Tier of NYS

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Care Compass Network utilizes a hybrid work model where employees are able to work remotely from a home office or from the CCN office, a non-clinical professional office setting. There may be some travel required for partner and/or network meetings.
