The Senior CostEstimator will support the estimating and scheduling departments by developingestimates for projects, from conceptional conceptual to the 100% design phase,including preparation of take-offs, costing, labor, and pricing of detailspertaining to drawings and documentation provided by our clients' the designteams, in a timely manner.

EssentialFunctions

• Performsaccurate quantity surveys and take-offs to estimate the cost of materials,labor, equipment, and subcontractor's work for all trades, ascertaining thatall CSI Master Format categories of work categories have been accounted forprior to submitting an estimate for final review.
• Providesquality control checks on estimates for estimating team members.
• Acts as a mentor to guide Junior Estimators in their work development.
• Analyzes information and develops budgets, from conceptual stages through final construction documentation as required by individual projects.
• Responds to client requests for explanations of cost estimates submitted by the cost estimating team.
• Acts as a resource for the project team in need of quick unit cost.
• Develops relationships with local vendors and contractors to assist in collecting accurate data.
• Represents estimating department in project meetings.
• Manages time frames to ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient manner possible.
• Coordinates with scheduling team to identify labor hours are accounted for and documented.
• Interfaces with design and construction personnel to produce accurate costs and scopes of work based on project drawings and specifications.

PreferredEducation and Experience

• Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Estimating
• Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is desired
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite software is required
• Good written and verbal communication skills, solid organizational and planning skills
• Familiarity with engineering and construction-related terminology
• Experience in using RS Means Estimating guides, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam Revu is desired

Travel

Ability to travel tovarious job sites and Envision offices as needed.
