Job Description Summary

The Department of Economics currently seeks adjunct instructors to fill current and future open sections for several courses that include: Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Business Statistics. There may be additional openings to teach upper-level undergraduate courses as well. Candidates must have at least an M.A. in Economics. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in Economics.

In alignment with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Act and our commitment to equity and transparency, we're sharing the salary grade range for this role.

Salary Range:

Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509.

For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course.

Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall will be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
