Job Description
Holyoke Medical Center is an independent community hospital that has served the healthcare needs of the Pioneer Valley for over 125 years. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient centered care.
We are seeking a Communication Coordinator, preferably Bilingual English/Spanish, to provide a single point of contact for patients and community members. Will be responsible for telephone follow-up with the patients of Holyoke Medical Center and Valley Health Systems, actively engaging clients in their individualized plan of care.
REQUIREMENTS: High school education required. Business courses and training preferred. Completion of a course in medical terminology preferred or must complete the course within 3 months of date of hire. One year of healthcare related or public contact experience required. Experience with automated hospital admission procedure systems, personal computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Excellent customer service skills; Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
