About This Position

SUMMARY
Operates controls of pelletizing equipment to sort, transfer, and stack on repel for sheet extrusion lines as well as reducing scrap inventory in the manufacturing of plastic sheet.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  1. Operates and maintains plastic repel extrusion line
  2. Operates equipment in a quality manner
  3. Understands processes and machine controls; and centerlines of the process
  4. Able to identifies specific raw materials
  5. Reads production delivery schedules and stacking pattern to determine sorting and transfer procedures, arrangement of packages on pallet and destination of loaded pallet
  6. Maintains production reports and control of materials/inventory
  7. Keeps equipment and work area clean
  8. Stops equipment to clear jams
  9. Informs supervisor of equipment malfunction
  10. Possess and maintain lift truck license
  11. Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have a High School Diploma or general education degree (GED), or three to six months related experience and training with Work Keys Career Readiness Certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, work instructions, and procedure manuals.

MATH ABILITY
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Incumbent needs a basic understanding of computers and printers.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must possess and maintain lift truck license.

  4. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes:
  5. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
  6. Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)
  7. Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
  8. Peripheral vision (ability to observe and area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).
  9. Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
  • Working with maintaining feed system material flow.
