About This Position
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of the EP medical director and nursing leadership, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects of electrophysiology procedures and 3D mapping systems. You will be responsible for preparation and coordination of both outpatients and inpatients undergoing all EP procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, including laser lead extractions done in the Hybrid OR.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all EP procedures and equipment, including recording systems, and 3D mapping and all ablation technologies
- Coordinates inventory of all EP equipment and supplies with supporting medical device representative and inventory manager.
- Become proficient in the use of the program system analyzer (PSA) so that in the event a rep is not available, a device case can be started.
- Manage inventory and coordinate admission and scheduling of Laser lead extractions with OR, as well as management of Laser Lead supplies.
- Develop, educate, and train EP staff in supporting Laser lead cases in Hybrid OR.
- Responsible for educating and training new and current EP staff.
- Expected to be involved in all types of EP cases.
- Provide continuous communication among leadership, staff and clinical leaders as well as working with Cath Lab leadership on new initiatives.
- Follow compliance with departmental policies and procedures while assisting leadership with policies and procedures to ensure standards are met.
- Once initiated, coordinate personnel to be at MRI for patients with non-MRI compatible devices.
- Knowledge of pacemakers, ICD, and lead extraction procedures.
Education & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab/Electrophysiology procedures (EP) experience is required
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing or graduate from accredited RT or CVT school
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or RT or CVT degree.
- Current New Jersey RN license or RT or CVT license is required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) upon hire

- Day Shift
- Full-Time
- No on-call required
- No weekend/holidays
