We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technical Supervisors to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a reputation for exceptional service and patient care.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Performs duties within the Clinical Laboratory, which requires a sound knowledge of clinical laboratory science in order to evaluate clinical data and quality control information. Responsible for overseeing employee training and/or specimen testing in designated areas. Assists Laboratory Manager/Laboratory Supervisor as needed to ensure the provision of timely and accurate laboratory test results through processes that are in compliance with requirements established by accreditation standards and by federal/state reimbursement agencies. Assists Laboratory management as needed in staff-related and administrative tasks. Must be able to assist with on-call assignments, as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Two years clinical laboratory experience with at least one year experience in the specific laboratory department.
  • Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university, and
  • Successful completion of a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved), and certification in clinical laboratory sciences by a recognized certifying agency.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
