Overview

Therapy Tree is a pediatric speech, occupational, and physical therapy clinic in need of an experienced, hard-working Front Office Specialist to join our team. (Bilingual is required).

Schedule

This candidate will be working 5x8's (10AM to 7PM). Saturdays may be required. This candidate needs to be flexible because the schedule will be a rotating schedule and there will be travel to other clinics when needed.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Welcomes patients and visitors, verifies contact and insurance information, and registers patients into the system.

  • Manages appointment scheduling, prepares medical charts, and ensures complete confidentiality of patient data.

  • Performs full benefits verification, contacts insurance payers to confirm coverage details/costs, and handles precertifications.

  • Coordinates patient referrals and exchanges data with referral sources to ensure complete administrative documentation.

  • Collects co-payments, prepares charge tickets, and accurately enters billing and insurance information into the system.

  • Answers phone calls, screens inquiries, and provides routine, non-medical instructions to patients and families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (plus 1 year of related experience/training or equivalent combination).

  • At least three years of experience working with children.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly encouraged.

  • Ability to acquire a Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a typing speed of at least 40 WPM.

  • Strong written, verbal, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Physical capability to sit, handle items, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs in a moderate-noise clinic setting.
