Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Laser Operator at our facility in Almont, MI. The Laser Operator will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines, ensuring high-quality production of metal components. Daily tasks include machine setup, monitoring operations, conducting quality control inspections, and maintaining equipment. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and efficient workflow management.
Qualifications
- Machine Operation and Laser Cutting skills
- Experience with Laser technology and Quality Control
- Operations Management skills
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in related field preferred
- Experience in metal fabrication or related industries is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 60 pounds regularly.
Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, crawl/climb, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
Sit, stand, and walk for 1-10 hours per day.
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work in a fast-paced environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
