Pinnacle Precision Sheet Metal specializes in build-to-print manufacturing of simple and complex sheet metal, machined, welded components, and assemblies supporting commercial aerospace, medical, and other industrial applications. As an AS9100D-certified organization, Pinnacle operates from a full-service 73,000-square-foot facility offering rapid prototyping, pilot and production runs, assembly, welding, spot welding, CNC machining, painting, and silk screen printing. Our business is strategically positioned for continued growth, and we are seeking talented individuals to join our team.
Role PurposeThe Packer is responsible for packaging finished parts and assemblies in accordance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, and company packaging standards. This position ensures products are properly protected, labeled, documented, and prepared for shipment while supporting quality, safety, and production objectives in a manufacturing environment.
Scope & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Inspect parts for proper surface finish, hardware installation, and overall quality prior to packaging
- Verify part quantities and ensure accuracy of packaging documentation
- Wrap, bag, tag, label, and/or box parts according to customer specifications, “Pack To” instructions, work orders, and verbal direction
- Apply identification markings, rubber stamps, labels, or tags to parts and packaging as required
- Inspect completed packaging to verify compliance with customer and internal packaging specifications
- Record and report non-conformances, damaged parts, or packaging discrepancies to supervisors promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards
- Support production and shipping operations as needed in various departments
- Participate in cross-training activities to support operational flexibility
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records within the company database system
- Demonstrate productivity, attention to detail, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in industrial packaging or manufacturing environment preferred
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments highly desirable
- Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and packaging specifications
- Basic math skills and counting accuracy
- Familiarity with standard shop tools and packaging materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency required
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and material handling procedures
- Basic computer skills for timekeeping and production tracking
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and customer representatives
- Positive attitude and willingness to support team operations
- Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Work is performed primarily on the manufacturing floor
- Exposure to industrial equipment, packaging materials, noise, and varying temperatures
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as applicable
- Ability to stand continuously for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds as required
- Frequent use of hands, fingers, and repetitive motions during packaging activities
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move throughout the work shift
