Position Overview:
Overall delivery of resident care and the effective functioning of the unit as designated by the Director of Nursing. Performs charge duties effectively. Supervises RNs, LPNs, NAs, and other Nursing Service employees. Is responsible to Director of Nursing. Supervises nursing personnel and evaluates outcomes of care to assure that nursing activities have met minimum standards of care. Demonstrates leadership and management skills by exercising sound judgement in decision making. Demonstrates professional judgement and ethical behavior in the performance of responsibilities. Works effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy. Demonstrates evidence of knowledge and ability to use proper channels of communication. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Assists with scheduling of employees. Plans and coordinates orientation and training of new employees. Participates in nursing staff disciplinary action process. Must be a positive role model by demonstrating professional practice and behavior, being competent in all areas under his/her direction and actively supporting mission, vision and values of the organization.

Position Highlights:

  • Shift Differentials: $4.00 - $10.00 per hour
  • Sign On Bonus Eligible: $30,000 for 3-year commitment

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of North Carolina. Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing appropriate to the practice setting. Preferably two years of clinical experience in acute care setting and/or long-term care setting.
