SUMMARY:

The Certified Nurse Aid works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides direct, comprehensive, and family-centered patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring accurate documentation.

• Delivers exceptional customer service and communicates patient conditions to nursing staff to support positive outcomes.

• Maintains a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment in alignment with care standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active NY State Nurse Aid Certification

• New Graduate Candidates: An unofficial transcript showing successful completion with a letter grade of B or better of a Nursing 101 course from an accredited nursing school program

• BLS required within three months of hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $18.45 - $27.84

Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
