Quality Control Technician at Infrastructure Precast Inc – Beaver Dam, Kentucky

Job purpose

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing products, and recording of results gathered during the production process on all products, while adhering to all safety requirements.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure all products meet all safety and quality standards.
• Inspect precast concrete products.
• Document results of inspections performed and reporting nonconformances.
• Conduct pre and post inspections for assigned areas.
• Conduct other inspections for assigned areas.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to other team members, as needed, to ensure all quality control aspects are adhered to.
• Use measurement and testing equipment to assess product dimensions, tolerances, and performance.
• Work closely with the production team to identify and correct quality issues to prevent defects.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all company and industry guidelines.
• Continuously improve knowledge and skills through training and/or education to stay current on industry trends/best practices.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications
• High diploma or equivalent
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control or related field, preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work in varying environments.
• Self-motivated to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent analytical / problem solving skills or the ability to interpret technical specifications
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Working conditions / Physical Requirements:
• Industrial plant setting with exposure to concrete, dust, and machinery.
• Candidates should be able to work in various environments.
• Standing for long periods of time with frequent movement through the plant.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, or machinery, as applicable for the work being performed.
• Use of PPE (i.e. gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, and/or ear protection).
• Ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis, if required.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks, as appropriate.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to work various work shifts and overtime, as required to meet project deadlines.
