Pathology Summer Non-Clinical Intern in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Parkview Health

The Lab Histology Department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented summer intern to support Pathology. This individual will assist with administrative and organizational tasks such as filing slides and tissue blocks, pulling materials for testing or physician requests, and aiding office staff with various clerical duties.

While the intern will be working in a clinical environment, they will not be asked to perform any clinical tasks. Instead, their contributions will support the efficiency and accuracy of the lab through behind-the-scenes work. In addition to daily responsibilities, the intern may also assist with ad hoc projects as they arise.

This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates strong attention to detail, is self-motivated, and works well independently. The ability to ask questions and seek clarification when needed is highly valued. The position is structured as a weekday role, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with no weekend or holiday shifts required. While applicants from any health science academic background are welcome, those with an interest in science or laboratory-related fields may find this experience valuable.

Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation.
