SUMMARY

As a Groomer at Pet Supplies Plus, you build personal relationships with your clients each time they visit, learn the pets' styles and personalities to create a customized, stylish experience for them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide grooming services, like brushing, bathing, and conditioning.Grooming and styling pets per owners' instruction and/or according to breed standards.Always ensuring the wellness and safety of pet.Developing long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.Community outreach to attract new neighbors into our store.Successfully completing Safety Training certification.Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.Follows all store and department policies and procedures.Other duties as assigned by supervisor

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or
• One to three months related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication)
