Job Overview: The RWJBarnabas Health School of Nursing and Union College conduct a Cooperative Program which grants students a Diploma in Nursing from RWJBarnabas Health School of Nursing and an Associate in Science Degree from Union College. The School of Nursing is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Nursing Education, Inc. and the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.

Qualifications: 

• BSN Required
• Previous leadership experience required
• Previous consulting experience preferred

Essential Functions: Responsibilities include a comprehensive overview of the mission, vision, and values of the RWJ School of Nursing, its governance structure, tables of organization lines of authority and reporting, as well as any affected errors that could benefit from a process improvement review or realignment to support the School of Nursing. Examples include, but are not limited to, budgetary resources, personnel and equipment resources, BSN & MSN articulation agreements, etc. A review of the effectiveness of the current structure and organization of schools will provide clearly defined lines of authority, resources, communications, and conflict resolution. The initial review will help to contribute to long-term growth plans, the adjustment of curriculum to support the current needs of healthcare, and will unify the sequencing of courses with RWJ School of Nursing and its partners. The consultant may also review student outcomes, recruitment and admission procedures, current and past trends, and completion rate of students, NCLEX results and employment post-graduation to support the long-term plan of RWJ School of Nursing. The consultant may advise on other areas as they intersect with the development of a long-term plan and/or as the consultant sees fit to support advisement.
