PD Pharmacist at RWJBarnabas Health – Livingston, New Jersey

Job Overview:

This is a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist role based within the Pharmacy for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center,

Qualifications:

Required:

• Registration in New Jersey as a pharmacist; current New Jersey licensure required
• Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD
• IV sterile compounding and oncology experience, one year

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Registered Pharmacist with NJ board of Pharmacy

Scheduling Requirements:

• Per diem- Minimum 1 shift per month
• Mainly weekend day, but can cover Monday through Friday if available
• One major holiday per year

Essential Functions:

• The pharmacist is responsible for the provision of oncology and MS patient care
• They ensure that the patients receive appropriate treatment including chemotherapy and support medication management
• They are responsible for the preparation, dispensing and monitoring of both the prescribing and effectiveness of outpatient and inpatient care of oncology and MS patients
• The pharmacist has good interpersonal skills and maintains a relationship within the interdisciplinary care team
• Proficient in EPIC, Beacon and navigation within the system
• They exercise considerable independent decision-making
