Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute both standard and specialized molecular assays adhering strictly to prescribed protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct extraction of nucleic acids from a diverse range of biological specimens, ensuring precise handling across various study phases.
  • Accurately record experimental procedures and outcomes, maintaining meticulous documentation as per study directives and laboratory standards.
  • Develop proficiency in equipment handling, including setup, operation, and maintenance, aligning with Good Laboratory Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Under guidance, participate in recombinant DNA tasks such as cloning (utilizing methods like Gibson Assembly and vector processing), plasmid DNA purification, and synthesizing controls via in vitro transcription.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Obtained at least a Bachelor's degree in a field pertinent to life sciences, such as Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with a preference for candidates with a background in industry.
  • Foundational knowledge of quantitative PCR methodologies, including the capability to conduct gene quantification using fluorescent probes in single or multiple target formats.
  • Well-versed in core molecular biology techniques, encompassing DNA extraction, polymerase chain reaction processes, and gene cloning.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently prioritize tasks, managing multiple assignments concurrently with a proactive and diligent approach.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and stimulating work environment, exhibiting both quick response times and a systematic organizational method.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques.
  • Experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) and related analytical equipment.
  • Skilled in biostatistical data interpretation and adept at generating reports, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism software.
  • A collaborative team player who also excels in independent initiatives.
