Research Coordinator

The research coordinator supports the conduct of research at Carle Foundation Hospital by coordinating study development, approval processes, and the initiation, implementation, monitoring, and negotiation of all research studies performed by CFH or Carle Foundation Physician Services. The will facilitate the collaboration between Carle researchers (MD''s and other researchers) with external researchers (ie: University of Illinois scientists), residents, and students who express interest in conducting research at Carle; implement the training of physicians, study coordinators, and external researchers to research requirements; facilitates and monitor for compliance with regulatory requirements; and may serve as a member of the Research Oversight Committee and Institutional Review Board. A bachelor''s degree is required in a health-related, science, or research related field or an RN degree. Three years of experience in research activities or three years of health care experience is required, as is proven organizational skills. Experience in the coordination of grants and clinical studies is desirable.
